Info

Cottage L’Armonia is located on the Pianalto Astigiano, a portion of land originally submerged by the sea, as the easy finding of shells and fossils along the country roads confirm. The summit of the hills are dominated by castles and ancient Romanesque churches: many are open in summer also for very interesting classic music concerts. The most famous, the abbey of Vezzolano, with its remarkable cloister, is open for visits the whole year long. The Area has been the birthplace of the well known Piedmontese “social” Saints, like Don Bosco, Domenica Savio, the blessed Cafasso and Allamano as well as the Cardinal Massaia, reason for which it is also named “Land of the Saints”.

The very well preserved natural environment is perfect for walking tours, bike and horse rides: a special network of equipped paths, called the “Greenways Astigiane” is available to go off the main roads and relax in the woods. Last but not least: the Italian cuisine with its local wines and special cooking recipes, served in all trattorias and small restaurants in the surroundings. All useful informations can be found at Cottage L’Armonia.
